What I feel inside me is something
I just cannot say aloud to you
Feelings that burn inside of me
With such passion
Only the sweetest of words
Could begin to describe how I feel
As you seem to have opened up
The wary and locked heart I keep guarded
From letting anything truly be known
Yet the passion burns inside of me
Kindling feelings for you
Of which only sweet words can describe
Until they meet upon my lips

Below is a collection of poems I've written at various times in my life helping me to pour out feelings. Most have come with feelings for a crush that I needed some place for them to go. This isn't everything I've written, just a sampling.
From across the hall
Your eyes catch mine
In a moment before
I feel you beside me
Setting my burden to the floor
My eyes can't leave you
Even as your arms embrace me
For a moment in time
Everything stands still
As my heart rushes
With your gentle touch

A moment before those lips
Envelope me in their warmth

Feelings are surfacing inside of me
Beginning to spark a fire
Of passion and desires
Buried deep inside for so long
Only now to find the match again

I'm a little out of date
Maybe a bit old fash if you like
Moving at my own pace in life
But one thing holds true without faltering
My heart stays true to you
No matter where I go along these streets
Passing the store windows
Thinking of things as the cars pass me by

Helping me to believe, reach up and touch the stars
As the music plays in my ears
While the pages gently turn after being read
Or the tv blares a favorite movie

Or being swept away in a novel

curled up with me under a blanket
sharing a movie or perhaps a book
you're the one i know i can take
with me to visit an art museum
as someone who fully appreciates the art
you're the one who would sit beside me

someone i can spend time with

What I can’t say to you
Is how much you mean to me
Deep down inside I feel so much for you
But I’m scared to let you know
My heart couldn’t handle it if you left
You’ve taken an interest in my life and me
Those small things that mean so much
Touch in the right spots
We found the fine line between friends and more
I’m too scared to cross that line
You mean too much to me to do that
Can’t lose you over feelings inside of me
Which you may or may not return
Until a time when more may come our way
I remain your friend, with feelings buried deep down
Life will lead us on the path we are supposed to follow
Should a day ever come when the line is crossed

the roads she's traveled along
people she's met along the way
all touching her in their own special way

looking at life with new eyes each day
meeting those challenges and dealing with the obstacles
pictures scattered everywhere of the places she's been
smiling faces staring back at her of those good times
things she'll always remember as those days go by

finding herself each little step of the way
seeing the girl she once was and now the woman she's become
taking a good look at that strong, beautiful woman
in the mirror staring back
there's a strength inside of her you just don't see
one that just doesn't give up on things in life
that she meets on the road traveled by each day
a success story amidst it all and a beautiful person
someone lucky will have and hold for the rest of his days
until then she travels along embracing the future before her'
with all the support she needs right behind her

as the trees move in nature's harmony
a view that beckons a peacefulness

while birds fly overhead calling out a morning call

as the world stands still
as i stare out at the beautiful view

in this vast sea of beauty
natures landscape filled with a palette of color
no brush could begin to capture
what i see in front of me
the rushing waterfall as it tumbles below
streaks of sunlight pouring through the trees
flowers opening there blossoms for a new day
as the leaves on the trees rustle in the wind
whispering through my hair, caressing my face
only nature could paint a perfect picture

as you walk gracefully to me
your dress blowing in the breeze
as the blades of grass tease your bare legs
hair loosely framing your face
you are beautiful to me
the sun shining down
could capture you in its light
but your beauty would be brighter
the evening glow would shine a light
upon your face to melt the heart of any man
who would look upon you
the closer you come with the teasing breeze

threatening to burst with desire
handsome as you are
staring at me with your soft eyes
as i walk towards you through the grass
i long to run my fingers through your hair
as it blows in the gentle breeze
while the grass blows around your feet
the sun casting your perfect form in its light
as if to paint your picture with its rays
when nothing could capture how handsome you are to me
even the glow of the moon would be jealous
of the way you look at me

Without you I don't know where I'd be
Falling still through the sky with broken dreams
With no where to go but down
There you were from afar
To catch me from my fall
Words to lift me up from the bottom
Of this well I'd landed inside
Bringing me back into daylight
Showing me "there's a teacher inside of me"
Something I never saw in myself, all these years
Yet in a short amount of time, you saw the real me
And now I am grateful to you for showing me
What I'm capable of deep down

as i walk along this lonely beach
the ocean crashing in my ears
the water washing up on shore

behind fluffy clouds
walking along, i remember
all that you were to me
from the very beginning
as someone there with a smile
and a listening ear
now you are far away
beginning a new life
as i'm left here all alone

heaven's path
somewhere down the road
there is a path i've followed
with trees on either side
enveloping me in a canopy
as the birds sing around me
the sun shines down brightly
casting a soft glow
on everything it touches
the animals they aren't afraid
as i walk along the path
they look at and smile at me
in their own way
at the end lies a gazebo
painted in white
glistening in the sunlight
around it are roses perfectly shaped
as only heaven could make them
there is a robin nearby
pecking the ground for worms
such a pretty red breast
he hops along without a care
the closer i get to the gazebo
the robin flies away
the animals turn towards me
as i move closer with each step
